Indiegogo Update — T-shirts & More

March 7, 2016liloliveBlog

EmmaFadra

As we continue to knock away at our Indiegogo campaign goal, we were super excited to see blogger Fadra Nally support the campaign over at her website, All Things Fadra — and, more importantly, share her experience of adopting and loving a very special puppy mill survivor named Emma.

This part of her story really resonated with us:

Emma’s job was to produce puppies for a puppy mill. The puppies were the commodity and she was the machine. She produced probably two litters every year, until she could no longer produce puppies, usually around the age of five. At that point, they serve no viable role in the business and their life is extinguished.

The lucky few find their way into the hands of rescue groups where they may be placed with families (like me) that have no real idea of what their background means. Emma, while chock full of baggage, was a little light in my life. She taught me how fragile living creatures can be – not just physically but also emotionally.

Pop by Fadra’s site to read the whole post and thank her for “speaking for those who have no voice!”

Moving on … We’re super excited to show you the final designs for our Indiegogo campaign T-shirt perk. They’re available at the $100 level in women’s fit (your choice of white or pink) or men’s/unisex fit (in grey).

But that’s not all you’ll receive at that level. You’ll also get:

  • A digital download of the film poster
  • Your name (and your pet’s name if you’d like) in the film credits
  • A DVD of the film signed by Pam “Dat Mommy” Horton and the filmmakers
  • And … of course … a big slobbery thank you from all of us with the Lil Olive team.

For those of you who’ve already supported us, thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Will you share our campaign with your friends and family?

For those of you who haven’t yet jumped on board, you too can “speak for those who have no voice.” Contribute today — and also help us share our campaign! Dogs deserve better, and every single dollar will make a difference.

Thanks,

The Lil Olive Team

A Voice for Lil Olive is a new documentary from award-winning filmmaker Pete Schuermann. The film explores the special bond between pets and their families, and how rescued dogs change lives. The film's mission is to make people aware of and to change attitudes about rescued pets through the telling of Lil Olive’s tale. In this way, she becomes the voice for so many dogs and animals in need.
